Koshino Koganebuta (Echigo Golden Pork) is Niigata Prefecture-produced brand pork in which Woshoku Co., Ltd. and contract farmers in this land have raised with devoted care. The great appeal of Koshino Koganebuta is the beauty of its fat. The pure white, lustrous fat has a low melting point — smoothly melting in the mouth. A never-tiring, non-cloying finish — a gentle deliciousness once tasted and impossible to forget. The finely-grained lean holds deep richness — the balance of fat and lean is exquisitely finished. The commitment to feed is also not to be overlooked. A special feed tailored to the growth stage is given — centered on carefully selected corn, wheat, and brown rice. For the final 2 months, expander feed processed at high temperature and pressure is used 100% — further elevating meat quality and flavor. Furthermore, the Vitamin E and alpha-linolenic acid content is higher than standard pork — also outstanding in health aspects. The growing period is approximately 180 days raised slowly, in a spacious environment without stress.
