Kinboshi Saga Buta (Gold Star Saga Pork) — in the Kurogane area spreading on the middle slopes of the Taradake mountain system in Tara Town, Fujitsu District, Saga Prefecture — selected as one of the 100 Famous Forest Water Sources. At this richly green satoyama blessed with clear air and rich spring water — Nagafuchi FarmLink Co., Ltd. carefully raises ‘Kinboshi Saga Buta.’ The place name Kurogane derives from the beauty of stars shining in the night sky — this pork that has crowned its name with that image has indeed grown as a brilliant brand pork representing Saga, true to its name.

At mountain barns blessed with clear air and rich spring water — generously given a special feed independently blending dozens of ingredients including rice flour, cereal grains such as barley and wheat, corn, and turmeric — raised slowly over time. The careful rearing of 180 days before shipment is clearly reflected in the outstanding quality of the pork.

Kinboshi Saga Buta pork has minimal drip — the fat firmly taut yet finely grained — one bite, and the deep umami unique to pork spreads throughout the mouth. Furthermore, by consistently self-managing from feed formulation through rearing, processing, and cooking — thoroughgoing food safety and reliability. Having obtained trademark registration, Farm HACCP certification, and brand regulations — the stance of thorough quality management is also an expression of sincerity toward consumers.

Boasting numerous award achievements at West Japan area carcass shows — in addition to export achievements to Hong Kong and Singapore — Kinboshi Saga Buta: a premium brand pork nurtured by Saga’s rich nature and the producer’s deep affection. Please do savor it.
