Fureai Hime Pork, a brand pork representing Ehime Prefecture, is a brand pork with integrated local area management thoroughly pursuing 4 quality aspects — breeding pig, feed, environment, and processing. Production is handled by the JA Ehime Pig Farming Managers Council — farmers within Ehime Prefecture work as one in committed high-quality pork production.

With HI-COOP pigs — known for excellent meat quality — used as breeding stock, three-breed cross piglets supplied from designated breeding pig farms are raised at ease in Ehime’s rich natural environment. A dedicated feed unique to the JA Group — blending wheat as the primary ingredient with Ehime-unique mandarin orange components — is used. Ehime’s commitment as a citrus kingdom makes a major contribution to flavor improvement and high quality realization of the pork.

Consistent quality management is thoroughly maintained based on a unique management manual called ‘Pig Farming Story’ from rearing through processing and distribution. Also hygienically processed at a meat center certified to international quality standards — by totally managing all processes from farm through processing and sales, pork that can always be eaten with confidence is delivered to consumers.
