Shizuoka’s proud SPF pork — the fragrance of herbs brings depth and a gentle flavor to the meat quality.

Fujinokuni Ikiiki Pork is a Japanese brand pork (meigara-buta) from Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, managed by Marusu Farm Co., Ltd. Breed / crossbreeding: Female (Landrace × Large White) × Duroc (LWD triple cross).

Fujinokuni Ikiiki Pork (Fujinokuni Lively Pork) — Shizuoka-style brand pork — is an SPF pig produced by Marusu Farm Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City. An SPF pig is a pig raised in a clean environment free of specific pathogens. Under hygiene management without reliance on medications, healthy pigs are raised.

For the feed, the original compound feed ‘Shimizuko Shiryo’ produced by Shimizuko Shiryo Co., Ltd. is used exclusively. Furthermore, by adding extracts derived from herb spices, the pig’s inherent fragrance is drawn out — a flavorful, rich meat quality is realized. By thoroughly managing the feed, the pork is finished with softness and juiciness that stand out with every bite.

The breed is an LWD three-breed cross — Landrace × Large White female crossed with Duroc male. Through this crossing, finely grained meat quality and appropriate marbling are born — firm eating satisfaction combined with a gentle sweetness spreading. The shipping age is 180–190 days, and the shipping weight is around 115 kg — delivered to the market after thoroughly confirming growth.

The commitment to quality is also thorough. Having obtained ‘Shizuoka Food Selection’ certification and ‘Shizuoka Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Products Certification’ — widely distributed as safe, reliable brand pork recognized by Shizuoka Prefecture. Farm HACCP also obtained — the high level of hygiene management is guaranteed. In shabu-shabu, ginger pork stir-fry, tonkatsu, and other preparations close to daily tables — the character of this pork shines. Please do try the rich flavor at home.
