Kokusan Bimi Ton

Raised for 30 years on a dedicated feed of flaxseed oil and perilla oil — Inageya’s health-conscious original brand pork, a tradition of care.

Kokusan Bimi Ton (Domestic Exquisite-Taste Pork) is a health-conscious brand pork that supermarket Inageya and designated producers in Akita and Iwate have engaged in for over 30 years. Management is handled by JA Zen-Noh Meat Foods Co., Ltd. — approximately 25,000 head shipped annually. The defining feature is the commitment to feed. Linseed oil and perilla oil are added to the Inageya-designated compound feed and given — finishing as pork richly containing health-beneficial omega-3 essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid. Such feed design is the core of the brand concept responding to consumers’ health consciousness. Rearing is handled by designated farms in Akita Prefecture and Iwate Prefecture — slowly raised over 170–190 days of age. This long rearing period is one of the major reasons producing the fineness and softness of the meat quality. What is born as a result is a rich flavor where sweetness and umami reside within clean fat — the umami gently overflows with every chew. Can be broadly utilized in diverse preparations such as tonkatsu and shabu-shabu of course — stir-fry and braised preparations as well. The breed is a three-breed cross of Large Yorkshire, Landrace, and Duroc — characterized by well-organized meat quality with balanced lean and fat. Main slaughter facilities are Akita Meat Distribution Public Corporation and Iwachiku — stable quality and supply system in place. Sales are managed by designated store system — at each Inageya store, abundant cuts including ground meat, loin, and belly can be purchased. As a highly reliable brand pork that consumers can confidently select — distributed nationwide.
