The defining feature of Misaki Ton is the proactive utilization of live bacteria preparations in the feed. By blending several types of live bacteria preparations including Bacillus subtilis, yeast, and lactic acid bacteria into compound feed — the pig’s gut environment is regulated, promoting healthy growth. By this unique rearing method — finishing as flavorful pork richly containing umami components and collagen in the meat. The breed is a three-breed cross pig — Duroc male crossed with a sow (Landrace female × Large Yorkshire male).
