Sakura Saku Pork (Cherry Blossom Blooming Pork), one of the representative brand porks of Miyazaki Prefecture, is a high-quality brand pork raised with strictly unified breed, compound feed, and rearing management at the pig farming demonstration farm managed by JA Miyazaki. A three-breed cross pig — Duroc (excellent fat quality and flavor) crossed with a sow born from Landrace female × Large White male — finishing as pork with outstanding balance of meat umami and fat sweetness. Corn and cereal grains such as barley and wheat are well-balanced and blended for the feed — a rearing environment where pigs can grow healthily and freely is arranged — carefully managed under the safe, reliable production system with JGAP obtained.

The cross-section of pork raised over the sufficient time of 185 days is characterized by a beautiful cherry-pink lean that is also the origin of the brand name — the rich umami that spreads softly from the moment it enters the mouth is impressive. The fat has no cloyingness — with a smooth mouthfeel — the exquisite balance with the lean further enhances the joy of eating.
