Raised without medication on a carefully selected herb feed — a safe, delicious brand pork that Gunma is proud of.

Ebara Herb Ton Mirai is a Japanese brand pork (meigara-buta) from Kamitaki-machi, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, managed by Ebara Yoton Co., Ltd. Breed / crossbreeding: Female (Landrace × Large White) × Male: Duroc (Simco SPF).

‘Ebara Herb Ton Mirai’ (Ebara Herb Pork Future), produced by Ebara Yoton Co., Ltd. located in the farming district overlooking Mount Akagi in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, is a brand pork born of a thoroughgoing commitment to medication-free rearing and herbal feed. From birth through to the day of shipment, a rearing environment that relies not at all on medications has been steadfastly maintained since the brand regulations were established in 2000. By obtaining the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries standard ‘Production Information Disclosure Pork JAS’ certification, the farm has continued to demonstrate the transparency of production history and food safety to consumers nationwide.

The feed uses non-GMO corn and soybean as the primary ingredients, combined with 11 varieties of herbs including oregano and mint, and lactic acid bacteria in a brand-original formulation. The abundant antioxidant components in the herbs, combined with Vitamin E, bring the effect of sustaining the freshness and flavor of the meat for longer. The pork raised in this way has no animal off-odor, with the fat refreshingly clean yet with a firm umami — a defining characteristic.

High-quality Simco SPF individuals are used as breeding pigs, achieving both stable health maintenance and consistent eating quality. The pigs are raised slowly over a longer period of 200 days, and a finely grained meat quality and juicy texture are realized. The combination of soft mouthfeel and high water retention means umami rarely escapes even with heat — the deliciousness stands out in any preparation.

Delivered nationwide through organic and natural food distribution networks including Daichi wo Mamoru Kai and Co-op Deli — a brand long supported by consumers seeking food safety and deliciousness.
