Shureiton (Exquisite Pork) is a brand pork produced by Toyohashi Feed Co., Ltd., headquartered in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. True to its name — aiming for pork that is ‘supremely beautiful’ — it is produced with thoroughgoing commitment from feed through to breed and management. The defining feature is a smooth, soft, and richly juicy meat quality. This is realized by limiting the sow to the excellent lineage ‘Thirty’ or equivalent — producing uniformly fine-grained and soft texture for each individual. The cross is a three-breed cross — Duroc as the sire crossed with Large Yorkshire × Landrace female. The umami and softness of the lean from Duroc, the fineness from Large Yorkshire, and the excellent meat productivity of Landrace are combined at a high level in good balance. For the feed, the proprietary original mixed feed ‘Shureiton’ developed by the company is given — while suppressing the characteristic pork off-odor, a sweet, elegant flavor is drawn out. Shipping age is 180 days, shipped when body weight reaches approximately 115 kg. The high quality is widely evaluated even within the industry — with the outstanding track record of winning the Grand Prize at the Meat Industry Exhibition Brand Pork Contest. Brand standards established in 2002 and trademark registration completed — stable supply of approximately 30,000 head annually is realized.
