A brand pork nurtured by the rich natural gifts of the Okitama region of Yamagata Prefecture, raised under thoroughgoing commitment and devoted rearing management. The breed is a three-breed cross of SPF Landrace × Large Yorkshire sows with the excellent-marbling Duroc — producing a pork of finely-grained meat quality and an outstanding balance of rich umami. To draw out the full potential of the breed, the feed uses a proprietary blend based primarily on barley and corn, further enriched with seaweed and milo for added umami and nutrition. Of particular note is the Vitamin E content in the feed — designed at approximately 3 times the level of standard pork — which suppresses oxidation of the pork and preserves freshness, contributing significantly to meat quality improvement. The farm actively employs female staff, devoting energy to creating a calm, clean environment that minimizes stress for the pigs. Disease prevention measures including showering upon entry and exit and regular hygiene inspections are also thorough — realizing safe and reliable pork production. For the final 60 days, pigs are fattened slowly on a dedicated compound feed, with animals that reach 175 days shipped. The exquisite balance between the brilliantly white, finely-grained fat and the lean with its elegant sweetness creates a rich umami that spreads with every bite.
