Umi no Mineral Ton

Hokkaido’s pride — a healthy brand pork raised on deep-sea minerals and wheat.

Raised in the rich natural environment of Shibetsu City, Hokkaido, Umi no Mineral Ton (Sea Mineral Pork) is a brand pork with a distinctive concept — incorporating deep seawater minerals and carefully selected rock salt into its feed. The abundant mineral content of deep seawater elevates the umami of the pork and eliminates the off-odor typical of ordinary pork, delivering a clean, fresh fragrance and a healthy, approachable eating experience. The feed incorporates grains including barley at a ratio of 10% or more, while the finishing stage uses absolutely no fishmeal or meat meal whatsoever. The fusion of grain-derived sweetness and seawater minerals creates a refreshing, never-heavy flavor that brings out the authentic taste of pork itself. Rearing period is 155 days — long enough to develop a lean of real substance and flavor, without excessive marbling. Production is managed by Yugen Gaisha Nakatayori Farm (Hakusan Farm) under the Kamikawa Swine Promotion Association, holding both Farm HACCP and JGAP certification for integrated hygiene and quality management from rearing through to shipment. Approximately 16,000 head are shipped annually through major meat processors both within and outside Hokkaido. Major food companies including Ito Ham, Nippon Ham, and Prima Ham also use it as a primary ingredient — a testament to the broadly recognized quality of this pork. Raised with care in Hokkaido’s abundant natural environment, drawing on the power of sea minerals — please do try Umi no Mineral Ton at least once.
