Hazama no Kinako Buta

Raised in the great nature of Kirishima — a Miyazaki brand pork of smooth, mellow richness and exceptional tenderness.

Hazama no Kinako Buta (Hazama Kinako Pork) is a brand pork that Hazama Farm Co., Ltd. carefully raises in the rich nature surrounded by the Kirishima mountain range in Miyakonojo City, Miyazaki Prefecture. True to the name — carefully raised on an original designated compound feed blending nutritionally high ‘kinako’ (roasted soybean flour) — the plant-based protein contained in soybean kinako creates a rich meat quality. Evaluated as approximately 20% softer than the domestic brand pork average, with texture approximately 30% softer as well — the smooth mouthfeel is such that it can be eaten deliciously with just salt and pepper — the high quality is also a major appeal. From the moment it enters the mouth — the mellow sweetness produced by linoleic acid (a plant-based fatty acid) softly spreads — firm richness and umami follows. With high water retention and a juicy finish — even in heat-applied preparations such as shabu-shabu and sauté, a surprisingly moist texture can be enjoyed. At the farm, from breeding through fattening is consistently managed — by arranging a hygienic environment with minimal stress in pigsties laid with sawdust — the production of healthy, delicious pork is realized. Also proactively engaging in circular agriculture returning excrement as organic fertilizer to agricultural land — coexisting with regional agriculture while continuing to practice sustainable livestock farming. As a highly reliable brand acquiring all four certifications of trademark registration, GI registration, Farm HACCP, and JGAP — counted as one of the representative brand porks of Miyazaki. Please do enjoy at your table the flavor receiving the bounty of rich nature.
