Raised in the great nature of Yabakei, Oita — a brand pork with a deep umami born of rice and shochu lees.

Kinun Ton is a Japanese brand pork (meigara-buta) from Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture, managed by Fukuda Farm Co., Ltd. Breed / crossbreeding: Female (Landrace × Large White) × Duroc.

Kinun Ton (Brocade Cloud Pork) is a brand pork representing Oita Prefecture — raised in the rich great nature of Yabakei, Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture. Under the beautiful mountain scenery spreading in Yabakei — a nationally designated scenic spot — Fukuda Farm Co., Ltd. carefully produces each individual with a high-standard hygiene management system and unique commitment.

For the feed — an original liquid feeding system blending school-lunch leftover rice, feed rice, and shochu lees into a designated compound feed is adopted. Giving rice produces finely grained, soft meat quality — the blending of shochu lees softens the characteristic pork off-odor, and sweetness and umami are concentrated in the fat. The meat quality is rich in oleic acid — also highly evaluated as a healthy pork attracting attention for beauty and health benefits.

At Fukuda Farm, a windowless pigsty is also adopted — pathogen intrusion from outside is thoroughly blocked, with the hygiene environment always kept clean. Workers entering the pigsty are required to bathe and change clothing — regular health checks by a veterinarian are also conducted — energy is devoted to creating an environment for delivering safe, reliable pork. Farm HACCP obtained in 2017 — high consciousness toward quality management is evident.

With the characteristic of meat not easily hardening even when cooled — easy to use in lunchboxes and side dishes as well — the finely grained soft texture and juiciness combined produce a flavor that leaves an unforgettable impression once eaten. Please do fully savor Kinun Ton — packed with the great nature of Oita and the producer’s sincere craftsmanship.
