Shiawase Pork (Happy Pork), produced by Hayashi Farm Co., Ltd., based in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, is a brand pork that has steadily accumulated a sincere commitment to quality and the environment since its founding in 1953. Under the belief that pork quality is governed by the rearing environment, a three-site system separating the breeding, weaning, and fattening processes into dedicated farms, and an all-in, all-out method of replacing entire groups at once, are rigorously practiced — blocking the entry of pathogens from outside and realizing a hygienic, stable production environment. At the self-owned feed factory, the commitment to carefully formulating and producing only as much as needed for each day, and giving fresh dedicated feed to the pigs every day, has been consistently maintained for many years. Furthermore, stress on the pigs is suppressed to an absolute minimum through sensor-based automated temperature control and mechanization of feeding and excrement removal — creating an environment for healthy growth. The breed is a three-breed cross — Landrace × Large Yorkshire sows with Duroc male — achieving both outstanding meat productivity and rich meat quality. The pork shipped after a careful rearing period of 170 days is characterized by a soft, crispy texture and rich umami, with an exquisite balance between the sweetness of the fat and the depth of the lean.
