Sainokuni Aisai Sangenton (Saitama Aisai Three-Breed Cross Pork), produced by Aisai Farm Co., Ltd. surrounded by rich nature in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, is a three-breed cross pork raised bearing the pride of the Saitama brand. Its bloodline combines Large Yorkshire and Landrace — excellent in reproductive capacity and lean balance — with Duroc, also called the king of meat quality. Using Large Yorkshire female × Landrace male F1 as the sow, then further crossing with Duroc male — this brand pork inherits all the advantages of each of the three breeds without remainder. The addition of Duroc enriches intramuscular fat, with finely-grained marbling meat quality and abundance of umami components including glutamic acid standing out vividly. The deep flavor spreading juicily from the first bite has an appeal that makes you want to eat it again. The feed is characterized by the addition of domestically-grown rice straw to a plant-based centered compound feed primarily of corn and soybean meal. The dietary fiber in the rice straw regulates the gut environment of the pigs, assisting in healthy body formation. The pigs raised through careful feed design have minimal off-odor with a clean finish. The patient fattening to 170 days of age and approximately 110 kg draws out the firmness and umami of the meat sufficiently.
