Hinomoto Buta

Raised in a pristine environment with a devoted, homemade proprietary feed — a supreme brand pork from Nanatsuka Town, Kumamoto.

Hinomoto Buta (Pork of the Land of the Sun), carefully raised by Saiki Farm in Nagomi Town, Tamana District, Kumamoto Prefecture. A brand pork born from thorough commitment to creating an environment where pigs can grow healthily in the nature-rich land of the northern prefecture area. At Saiki Farm, the thinking of not a ‘pig farm’ but a ‘home where pigs are the main residents’ is cherished — a clean rearing environment and fresh air are always maintained. Receiving the bounty of Kumamoto’s four seasons of nature — raised slowly to 180 days of age — the inherent sweetness and rich flavor of the meat is drawn out to the maximum. For the feed, an original self-made blend formulating crushed corn and kinako (roasted soybean flour) is used — devised with fine effort so nutrition is firmly absorbed. This commitment to feed is a major decisive factor for the mellow, aromatic meat quality with gentle, appropriate sweetness. Furthermore, by giving nanobubble water infused with ultra-fine bubbles as drinking water — careful consideration for stress reduction in pigs as well. Such devoted accumulation produces a premium fat melting in the mouth. Even after heating, the pork remains moist and soft — from the fat, a sweet, elegant aroma rises the moment it is grilled. Renowned for being delicious even for people who dislike pork — also boasting popular lineup as Kumamoto furusato nozei return gifts. Diverse products are available including spare ribs, pork loin, shoulder loin for ginger stir-fry, and house-made wieners and sausages — perfectly suitable as gifts as well. Please do enjoy at your table this premium brand pork representing Kumamoto.
