Bimiton (Delicious Pork), delivered from Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is a brand pork born at an SPF-certified farm operated by Joyo Fermentation Agriculture Farm Co., Ltd. SPF means the pigs carry no specified pathogens — and because they grow up healthy and resistant to disease, stable quality and rich flavor are consistently achieved. At this farm, Duroc is exclusively selected as the sire, and the pigs are raised slowly to 180 days — longer than standard commercial rearing — in an approach committed to extended fattening. The feed is a purely plant-based blend centered on milo, barley, cassava, and corn, with eco-feed including sweet potato, potato, and feed rice self-formulated in-house. Furthermore, lactic acid bacteria and yeast are added to the feed to support healthy gut environments in the pigs, keeping medication use to an absolute minimum through fine-grained rearing. This labor-intensive production approach is what creates the outstanding eating quality unique to Bimiton. When eaten, the sweetness of the fat spreads through the entire mouth, and the characteristic pork off-odor is barely noticeable. The meat quality is characterized by fine marbling and a soft fiber texture, with a rich umami seeping out with every chew.
