Using SPF breeding pigs that have been freed of 5 major specified pathogens from birth, the pigs are raised while maintaining healthy conditions — realizing rearing with vaccines and antibiotic use kept to the absolute minimum. The greatest commitment is the dedicated designated compound feed ‘Hayashi SPF (V)’ given for 60 days (approximately 2 months) before shipment. This original feed — developed over 40+ years — is vitamin and mineral-enhanced with a rich barley blend. Heat treatment at 110°C elevates safety and digestibility, nurturing a water-retentive meat quality and high-quality fat. The pork born of the LWD three-breed cross (Landrace × Large Yorkshire × Duroc) has chewiness yet crispy cutting, with a rich, fragrant umami. The sweetness of the fat and the richness of the meat harmonize in an exquisite balance — widely applicable to tonkatsu, ginger pork stir-fry, and shabu-shabu. Shipped at 185 days of age and 115 kg with devoted care, distributed through major markets including Tokyo Metropolitan Meat Market, Yokohama City Meat Market, and Tosho Town Meat Center.
