Nagoya Pork is an Aichi Prefecture-produced brand pork produced by Chita Pig Co., Ltd., based in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture. Pigs carefully raised at the designated fattening location — Nishi Kasamatsu, Kume, Tokoname City — are shipped through Nagoya City Meat Market. The breed is a three-breed cross — (Large Yorkshire × Landrace) female crossed with Duroc — an outstanding combination balancing meat quantity, meat quality, and umami. Shipping age is 180 days, shipping weight 110–120 kg — by fattening slowly over time, rich umami is drawn out. Eco-feed is utilized for the feed — also a major defining feature of practicing environmentally-conscious rearing utilizing circular food residues.
