Production is handled by JA Ehime Pig Farming Managers Council — farmers within Ehime Prefecture work as one in committed high-quality pork production. Using Hycore pigs — known for excellent meat quality — as breeding pigs, three-breed cross piglets supplied from designated breeding pig farms are raised freely in Ehime’s rich natural environment. A dedicated feed unique to the JA Group — blending wheat as the primary ingredient with Ehime-unique mandarin orange components — is used for the feed. Ehime’s commitment as a citrus kingdom makes a major contribution to flavor improvement and high quality realization of the pork.
