Kaitaku Ton (Pioneer Pork), carefully raised by Saga Prefecture Kaitaku Livestock Business Cooperative Association based in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, is a committed brand pork nurtured in the rich natural environment of Kyushu, Saga. A three-breed cross is adopted — Landrace × Large Yorkshire female crossed with Duroc male — by combining the excellent meat quality, meat productivity, and superior growth characteristics of each breed, consistently producing well-balanced, high-quality pork. A designated compound feed is used for rearing — by carefully fattening over the sufficient period of 180 days, the authentic umami and depth of pork is firmly concentrated within the meat. The greatest appeal of Kaitaku Ton is the rich, premium meat quality with delicate fineness and appropriate tautness.
