The producer — Ono Pig Farm Co., Ltd. — has over 50 years of pig farming history, handling everything consistently from breeding through fattening, processing, and direct sales — maintaining stable quality. The defining feature is the commitment to feed — approximately 60% of the total feed is eco-feed made by drying and grinding local food residues including bread, rice bran, peanuts, and gyoza wrappers. This regional circular agriculture initiative was recognized — winning the Grand Prize in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries’ Eco-Feed Livestock Products Production Outstanding Cases in FY Reiwa 1 (2019).
