In the rich natural environment with a panoramic view of the five peaks of Aso — the SPF pigs raised fully absorbing clear subsurface water and fresh air have the bounty of that quality natural environment directly reflected in the meat quality as well — truly a brand pork lovingly nurtured by the Aso earth. At Yamaton Farm, to ensure that no pathogens are brought in from outside — upon entering the pigsty, thoroughly washing the entire body, disinfecting, and changing into dedicated clothing is a daily strict hygiene management requirement. The entire farm is regularly disinfected to maintain a clean rearing environment — periodic blood tests and organ inspections to clear annual certification inspections are also never skipped — the pig’s health condition is always carefully confirmed. A dedicated SPF pig feed that has been heat-treated is used — commitment to simultaneously realizing food safety and high quality is felt throughout. Yamato Nadeshiko Pork — raised slowly over 150 days in this way — has high moisture retention and does not easily harden even after heating — a major characteristic. Minimal characteristic meat off-odor — the sweet umami of the fat elegantly spreads in the mouth.
